I 44 \u00e5r har hon trafikerat v\u00e4stg\u00f6talinjen av G\u00f6ta kanal, Karlsborg &#8211; T\u00f6reboda. Kanske den vackraste delen p\u00e5 hela G\u00f6ta kanal.<br>Filmen b\u00f6rjar med n\u00e5gra vyer fr\u00e5n Forsvik. Forsvik \u00e4r den \u00e4ldsta slussen i G\u00f6ta kanal, byggd 1813.<br>H\u00e4r finns ocks\u00e5 den gamla bron kvar, en j\u00e4rnbro, tillverkad 1813 vid Stavsj\u00f6.<br>Den var i bruk fram till 1956. Sedan l\u00e4mnar Sand\u00f6n Forsvik och g\u00e5r ut i Sj\u00f6n Viken men m\u00e5ste innan det g\u00e5 genom ledmurarna vid Billstr\u00f6mmen. P\u00e5 sin f\u00e4rd \u00f6ver Viken passerar hon den gula f\u00f6re detta fyrvaktarbostaden vid Brosundet innan hon slutligen \u00e5ter kommer till kanalen och den enda kvarvarande handdrivna slussen p\u00e5 v\u00e4stg\u00f6talinjen, T\u00e5torps sluss. N\u00e4r Sand\u00f6n l\u00e4mnar slussen passerar hon \u00e4ven den gamla lotsbostaden innan hon sedan f\u00f6rsvinner runt kr\u00f6ken och g\u00e5r mot n\u00e4sta historiska plats, Lanth\u00f6jden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lanth\u00f6jden \u00e4r kanalen h\u00f6gsta punkt, p\u00e5 berget st\u00e5r en obelisk som restes 1847. Den st\u00e5r utefter den gamla kanalen vilken man inte l\u00e4ngre passerar med b\u00e5t.<br>H\u00e4r var kanalen s\u00e5 smal att fartygen inte kunde m\u00f6tas s\u00e5 trafiken fick dirigeras med hj\u00e4lp av en semafor. Hon byggdes f\u00f6r G\u00f6teborgs Nya \u00c5ngslupsaktiebolag f\u00f6r innersk\u00e4rg\u00e5rden. Hon tog vid den tiden 150 passagerare. Mellan \u00e5ren 1900 och 1905 trafikerade hon Kinda Kanal men k\u00f6ptes sedan av S\u00f6dert\u00e4lje \u00c5ngslups AB f\u00f6r trafik p\u00e5 M\u00e4laren och Saltsj\u00f6n. 1957 lades hon upp och fungerade som konditori. 1964 skulle fartyget s\u00e4nkas i Landsortsdjupet men r\u00e4ddades i sista stund och en renovering p\u00e5b\u00f6rjades. I dag har Ejdern det utseende som hon hade runt 1900.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"G\u00f6ta kanal.
